Does Cheney 'Validate' al-Qaeda?

By Robert Parry
March 1, 2007

Vice President Dick Cheney says he stands by his accusation that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s plan for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq would “validate the al-Qaeda strategy.” And he apparently thinks he got the better of this latest war of words.

However, if Pelosi ever goes beyond complaining that Cheney is impugning her “patriotism” – while Cheney counters that he is only questioning her “judgment” – she might point out that it is the Bush administration that has “validated” al-Qaeda’s 9/11 strategy over the past five years.

one thing nancy could do is go visit your archives on consortium news and carefully read his articulate and well-documented reporting on the crimes and lies of the bush administration... then she should set her staff doing due diligence and assembling the mass of documentation parry references and distilling it into a comprehensive briefing, complete with executive summary and press releases, on the monstrosities we elected to govern our country... THOSE would be the democratic talking points, repeated endlessly by every house democrat every time he or she makes a public statement... let's cut the crap and stop tolerating bush and his gang... we need STEELY RESOLVE...! we need ACTION...!

Dear Consortium News contributors.

Been reading the majority of the emails you have been sending and there is a sense of urgency.

I share with you that urgency and been trying to get your support into getting this matter to stick its head into mainstream.

The following is the latest article on this matter I have written:
"Is it high treason or just a simple case of dereliction of duty?"

I strongly believe that once this matter peaks its head into mainstream, the Bush cabal will come tumbling down like a house of cards.

Kindly pay a bit of attention to it.

From previous direct emails, you have my email address and phone number.

In solidarity,
Maher Osseiran
