It's not surprising at all most people do not know this, or if read, choose to filter it out. There is no way the person identified as Jesus Christ would ever be concerned with being anointed or be called the Christ. The Bible makers quite simply took a good idea shared by the people, kept 70% of genuine material, then plugged in 30% of their own B.S. to make it seem 100% genuine. Period.
