The Bush Rules of Evidence

By Robert Parry
November 24, 2007

In the history of the American Republic, perhaps no political family has been more protected from scandal than the Bushes.

When the Bushes are involved in dirty deals or even criminal activity, standards of evidence change. Instead of proof “beyond a reasonable doubt” that would lock up an average citizen, the evidence must be perfect.

I have been confused by the actions of the democrats regarding the criminals in this white house; this includes the tresonous acts regarding Plame/Wilson.
It seems possible that this congress has needed to wait on taking action against this white house. This president would pardon anyone else that was convicted and if he were forced to step down, cheney would pardon him. I just hope I am right. What do you think?

Why are you leftists so crazed about the "leak" of Wilson's name? the disclosure of her name is not a criminal act just as the special inquisitioner confirmed in his $40 million investigation. The entire District of Columbia knew which of Bushie's peeps leaked the info pretty much from day one. Lewis Libby was convicted of lying in the course of an investigation into a non-crinimal act. there were no other criminal acts in this "affair". Its amazing that so many words and so much of the ether has been wasted on this retarded discussion.

Y'all oughta focus on more important things like getting a coherent policy position on any one thing in the political universe.

Was Cheney involved in having the forged uranium documents planted? Possibly in cahoots with Chalabi? They had the will and the means, plus that would explain Cheney's preoccupation with the documents and Wilson's article.
As the investigation showed, Cheney also has the power to have stories buried by the media. The media doesn't even question who planted the forgeries and very rareley even mentions them at all.
Maybe Cheney's reference to "the incompetence of others" was a reference to the slip shod forgery job.
