Libby Links Cheney to Plame Leak

By Jason Leopold
June 4, 2008

FBI documents obtained by a congressional committee indicate that Vice President Dick Cheney may have authorized his former deputy to leak the identity of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson.

In a June 3 letter sent to Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Rep. Henry Waxman, Democratic chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, called on the Justice Department to release transcripts of interviews that Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald conducted with President George W. Bush and Cheney about the leak of Plame's identity.

The "Plame-Gate" business is a clear example of how the Bush thugs operate. I mean, why destroy Plame when it was Wilson they were going after? It never made any sense but was typical of Rove. I've always believed that it was Rove who planted the bogus documents on Dan Rather. Team Parry might want to comment on that some day. DCinNC

This information should be all it takes for the House Democrats to start impeachment hearings.

But they won't because re-election is more important than defense of our Constitution and way of life.

The only way to get their attention and force Impeachment Hearings prior to the election is to campaign negatively against selected Democratic Congressmen who are in close races.

We need to scare them into paying attention. There is no other way. We've all tried everything except trying to disrupt the campaigns of Democratic congressmen.

Oh, quit worrying, the Democrats will win majorities in House and Senate regardless of what we do.

We are only talking about scaring a few Congressmen enough to get them to call for impeachment hearings.
