See "American Assassination: The Strange Death of Senator Paul Wellstone", by Don Trent Jacobs and Jim Fetzer, Vox Pop Press. The circumstances of these small plane crashes were similar: weather requiring the pilot to use instruments. The book suggests the (Wellstone) plane was knocked out of the sky with electronic countermeasures.

Beverly Eckhart met with President Obama just days before this crash. If she had wished to press Obama for a reinvestigation of 9/11, I think that was sufficient motive to assassinate her, to prevent her from following up. If that is what happened, then Alison Des Forges was icing on the assassination cake - another pro-human liberal to be removed from the scene.

If you were willing to kill Wellstone's family and the pilots to get Wellstone, killing a total of 50 people to get Eckhart and Des Forges is not out of line, depending how much a threat you thought either woman would be in the future.

If you're an important player, don't trust "small" planes to move you around; but if collateral casualties don't bother them, not even commercial airliners are safe. Such players should have "stealth witnesses" shadow them who can testify whether lethal "accidents" were accidents in fact.
