The Iranian government is celebrating the capture of Abdolmalek Rigi, the leader of a violent group called Jundallah (Arabic for Soldiers of God), which Tehran says is a terrorist organization supported by the United States, Great Britain and Israel.

The author should be writing fictional movie plots instead of impersonating a journalist. Amazing inside knowledge of the affairs in Iran including the knowledge that Ahmadinejad was really elected. I suppose that is why the government is so willing to have an open society with free journalists roaming the streets and reporting on how popular Ahmadinejad is. And the million plus demonstrators were are shipped in by CIA. Oh yeah, I bet he has first hand knowledge that all the religious minorities are truly spies. Mr. McGovern or whatever your name was, do us a favor and put your imaginative writing skills towards other goals than "independent investigation".
What do you expect? McGovern's not only a 9/11 truther but an anti-semite to boot. He fits in well with guys like Ahmadinejad.
All this is eerily similar to events and "counter-insurgency" types of operations that have long been an aspect of the Latin American regional troubles -- the relatively sudden appearance of 'contras' or mysteriously well organized/financed/protected 'death squads' and provokers of many kinds which are then blamed on 'the other side'. Of course, in the byzantine and shadowy world of all these 'events' it is always nearly impossible to prove or make any other connections to one "side" or the "other".
McGovern is wrong about the undemocratic/reactionary regime in Tehran. Did he ever apologize to the Third Wotld people for his 27 bloody years at racist Langley? He sounds like a very racist man who does not care for the basic human rights of the Baloch people or the Iranians in general...

Hurray! Objective achieved! Iran is made a regional superpower, Qatar opening its borders to Iranian army, the US is given a kick in the ass and advised to "get out of the region" by Assad and Madnejad.
Surely, it is all very good for America. Iran officially going nuclear would be even better.
Now no diplomacy nor any kind of sanctions won't do. War, or surrender, are the only options.
