As we commemorate the Fourth of July, one of the joys -- and there are many -- of life in these United States is that you never know what the hell we, the people, will say next.
Sorry, guys. The American 'Revolution' was merely a conservative reaction to change. One (and only one of several) pointers to this reality is that the US saw the French Revolution (read: REAL change) as being too radical (other than Jefferson, that is, who saw real change as good for a nation. Of course, take TJ's slaves away and watch him howl). That's why we didn't support the French Revolution even though the French supported our (non) revolution.
