An Odyssey to See Barack Obama

By Lisa Pease
February 17, 2008

There are few things I love more in life than travel. I've been guarding a free airline ticket voucher for the last year, waiting for an event worthy of this most precious possession. I finally found one this week.

Read on.

Is this the same Lisa Pease, the historian, who wrote:

Now, to control history, they only need to control a single source: Wikipedia.

If she can pass herself off to Robert Parry as a bona fide historian, I have a bridge to sell him.

Whatever one thinks of Wikipedia, thinking people do not look on it as the final arbiter in historical matters.

Ms. Pease is such a lightweight. God help us, if her "odyssey" essay is representative of a typical Obama supporter.

Hitler also had the adoring masses groveling to see him speak in person at large venues, with huge crowds, cheering him on.

LISA PEASE:

So regarding Wikipedia, we're up against a formidable enemy. The CIA can afford to employ people fulltime to "watch" for changes to these articles. And there are multiple precedents as to why and how they'd do this. By centralizing history, we've made its modification by those who would control us easier, not harder.

"Lisa Pease, a lifelong information activist, became a researcher while trying to win arguments on the Internet about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. She found that her arguments were more persuasive when she backed them up with cold, hard data. Before she knew it, she had accumulated a massive library of books (including a full 26-volume set of Warren Commission Report), recordings, clippings and documents on these cases. When she discovered that the Los Angeles Police Department's records of the Robert Kennedy assassination were available at her local library, she spent many lunch hours, nights and weekends pouring through the files on microfilm to research that bizarre case."

"Lisa Pease co-editor and publisher of Probe Magazine (1995-2000). Lisa has been a featured speaker at several seminars in Dallas and Los Angeles. Lisa Pease is also the co-editor with James DiEugenio of The Assassinations (2003) that covers the deaths of John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Robert Kennedy, and Malcolm X. She is also the chief archivist of the Real History Archives website."

Lisa Pease, the self-interest self-promoter of the self-centered kind....

On another matter...General Rove must feel like he can just phone it in this time.

It's going to be so easy for the Repugs to trash Obama, whether they tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, or not. It won't matter.

Three names is all it'll take:

Tony Rezko
William Ayers
Rashid Khalidi

Is she this stupid, self-centered, in love with her own image, or WHAT?

From the Huffington Post today:

MILWAUKEE -- So what did Michelle Obama think of the United States before her husband decided he wanted to run the place?

“For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country,” she told a Milwaukee crowd today, “and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.”

Her arrogance is breathtaking and quite annoying.

I'm trying very hard to give her and Mr. Obama the benefit of the doubt but when she and her husband make arrogant comments like the one posted it becomes very difficult for me to say anything positive.

Yes, this is the same Lisa Pease, and Robert Parry and I have known each other for years. I've written about the JFK case for him here as well. You should be able to find the articles in a search of the site.

The first anonymous poster's comment makes exactly my point. Thinking people do not consider Wikipedia as bona fide history. However, as we all know, there are a lot of people who think, if it's printed somewhere, it must be true.

Re Michelle Obama's comments, are people proud that our country attacked one that had never attacked us, that was not planning to attack us, and did not have the capability of attacking us? I sure wasn't.

Re "evilpoet" calling me a "bitch"? I wasn't the one who chose a self-moniker containing "evil" in it. Thanks for the laugh, though. Talk about the pot calling the porcelain black! ;-)

Well, most of us don't think that way. I sure don't think what you print is necessarily true.

But, thanks for the laugh.

It was meant as a compliment - if you had clicked on the link you would have seen that. Overall, I was defending you perhaps you missed that too?

Thanks for the head's up. I will definitely keep your observation skills in mind when I read your articles.

Peace out.
