That famous definition of a cynic as someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing has come to define this present moment of American politics.
From the US being a Public Space with Private elements and a Public Time with Private elements, our country has all but become a Private Space and a Private Time with ever-diminishing Public elements. Tragic.
