Gaza Boat Activists Deny Israeli Story

By Dennis Bernstein and Jesse Strauss
June 4, 2010

With a bloody raid on the “Freedom Flotilla,” Israel has demonstrated, once again, its willingness to kill innocents in order to sustain its punishing blockade on the Gaza strip, even when doing so raises more and more questions about nuclear-armed Israel’s national sanity.

Read on.

Were it not for your independent reporting we (the thinking public) would be lost at sea swamped by the usual propaganda of the commercial media that reflects the official management of the news.

I know you guys hate Israel. I know that Israel screwed up with the way it decided to take control of the ship. I know that Israel has been damaged and that their will be a lot more goods (except weapons) getting into Gaza.

Isn't that enough? Why do you have to keep putting out stories that indicate you are either total ideologues or total idiots.

On 5 of the 6 ships, no one died. I don't think there were any serious injuries. If Israel wanted to use deadly force,it could have used it on them as well.

There's an explanation for the gunfire --- the Israelis had the stupid idea to use non-lethal paint ball guns. It makes sense and also explains why there are only 9 dead.

Take your victory, but don't write or report nonsense.

Usual hasbara phrase "I know you guys hate Israel".

We are extremely angry at Israel with maximum justification.

We generous American Tax payers have given Israel $3 Trillion.

We have "saved" them in the U.N.

In return our President & country is insulted over & over again.

A Jewish Historian Professor Norman Filkenstein has even compared Gaza to WWI Warsaw Ghetto.

An American Citizen was shot 5 times with 4 shots to the head in International Waters.

This & Israel's cold blooded murder of 134 Americans on the USS Liberty years ago I think we have reason to be very angry.

The government of Israel needs to comply with International Laws & make peace with the Arabs & stop its brutality.

“The declaration or establishment of a blockade is prohibited if:

(a) it has the sole purpose of starving the civilian population or denying it other objects essential for its survival; or

(b) the damage to the civilian population is, or may be expected to be, excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated from the blockade.”

-- San Remo Manual 1994, paragraph 102”

Supporting Israel has cost thousands of lives, billions of dollars and Israel continues to revile the world with everything from forging passports for assassins, using white phosphorus on civilians, not cooperating with or even acknowledging legitimate international inquiries and now murdering civilians.

Jews are 0.2 % of the World's population killing Muslims 25 % of the World's population on a regular basis.

The World does NOT need this.

The usual Jewish hasbara claim that the Palestinians can have peace is a deceitful lie & has been since 1948 when Israel started its Ethnic Cleansing.

Enough is enough.

Have you considered the fact that this might work another way? I am wondering if anyone else has come across something
similar in the past? Let me know your thoughts...
