On Sept. 23, as President Obama took his turn at the United Nations’ podium, there were a world of problems to address but, not unexpectedly, he chose to concentrate on the Middle East.
Neither Obama lacks the historical knowledge nor he's unable to contextualize the Israeli - Palestinian conflict. I'd rather adhere to the notion of him as a shrewd politician looking for ways to accommodate his political views according to the circumstances, in order to accomplish a larger and more personal political goal. In this case being reelected in 2012.
