In an emotionally loaded speech before AIPAC, Congressman Mark Kirk, R-Illinois, envisioned a doomsday scenario, justifying increased military presence in the Middle East.
One of the saddest things in America is the number of GOP politicians and Bush supporters who will not admit the extreme errors of the past 8 years that have put us into the position in which we now find ourselves. The politicians continue to use fear tactics to convince their lemmings that the Arab bogey man is upon us (excuse me, I "terrorist bogey man") while they continue to pocket their war time profits and the rural "hard-working Americans" cannot see past hugging their guns and bibles to demand a change in this flawed formula. They continue to send sons and daughters off to fight and die in the sands of the ME, and claim patriotism while if there is a disaster here at home we have to depend on Blackwater to protect our businesses from "looters." How pathetic they are.
