Across the cable TV news shows on Monday was a smirking cynicism about President Barack Obama supposedly reneging on his campaign pledge not to raise taxes on the middle-class, but this new conventional wisdom rested on a weak foundation.

Obama can justifiably be "bashed" for a number of reasons. One of them being, if he DOESN'T call for an increase in taxes -- across the board.
Too bad he doesn't have the political will (or the cajones) to tell the American people the unvarnished truth.
