KSM and the MSM

The other thing that should be talked about is the central role that Khalid Sheik Mohammed's multiple, evolving admissions and confessions played in corroborating the official US government narrative about what actually happened on September 11, 2001 and during the weeks and months immeditely preceding the WTC attack.

The 911 Commission eventually based many of its major factual conclusions squarely upon the reliability and credibility of KSM - that Osama and Zwahiri did it from their safe haven caves in Taliban controlled Afghanistan, that there was no evidence of involvement whatsoever by any government's spy agency, that the whole problem domestically was the failure of the left hand at the FBI to coordinate properly with the right hand over at the CIA and NSA despite everybody's best efforts and good intentions, and that Bush, Cheney, Tenet, Rice, the nation's spooks and the Pentagon brass all did everything humanly possible to prevent the attacks from occuring.

From exile, Dick Cheney still trumpets his dark, self-serving partisan scenario that the enhanced interrogation techniques repeatedly used upon KSM produced a wealth of valuable intelligence information - a gold mine of nuggets of info about the evil doers' modus operandi that thwarted dozens of sleeper cell terrorist plots which otherwise would have taken hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent American lives. Torture keeps America safe, you see.

News flash: Regardless of where KSM's mental state was back when the Pakistani ISI handed him over in his wife beater T-shirt to the CIA, Khalid Sheik Mohammed is crazy as an outhouse rat today. He has confessed to grandiose personal involvement in every international terrorist conspiracy of the last couple of decades, and with one or more additional waterboard sessions he undoubtedly would have 'fessed up to being the second gunman on the grassy knoll in Dallas the day John Kennedy was assassinated.

Would you buy a used car from this man? How about a used war or two?

Potentially, one of the most redeeming things that may emerge from Eric Holder's decision to give Khalid Shek Mohammed a day in real court, on the receiving end of the ordinary federal criminal justice system, is that some real light may get shed on the truth about 9/11. We shall see what we shall see.

Kangaroo court; prejudiced jury; inadmissible evidence; fears of KSM using his day in court as a "platform." These conspire to make a mockery of our judicial system by turning it into a public Star Chamber. Like the Rosenbergs and Sacco and Vanzetti trials justice removes her blindfold to smite the guilty with her sword before the trial begins.
