To be more specifc, this legislator suggested that THE MENTALLY ILL (and homeless people) be shipped to Siberia. He resigned after being called out on this bizzare and BIGOTED recommendation. *

Apparently, the author of this article wants to avoid any defense of the "non-combatants" he is [verbally] targeting with terms such as 'loony bin'.

* This GOP legislator here was a 90 year old man holding public office for the 1st time! Too bad he blew his efforts to "push the age envelope" with his expression of bigotry.
