"Nativists like Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio are nudged to over-the-top nastiness: Just a month ago, he proudly paraded his villains (aka illegals) through the streets of Phoenix before deporting them."

He didn't deport, he segregated them in his tent city jail. He's our Jim Clark. It's disgusting.

Joe Arpaio has cost Maricopa County $43 million in lost lawsuits for inmate abuse. He sent a SWAT team to serve a misdemeanor traffic warrant. They forgot to set the emergency brake while they were killing the kid's dog and burning down his two-story house, and it rolled downhill and smashed a neighbor's car.

At present, Arpaio is being investigated himself.

Dog Day Afternoon: Sheriff Joe's goons launched an assault to make a misdemeanor arrest. The Raid left a burned house, a terrified neighborhood and a dead dog.

He does minor drug busts and seizes homes, cars and property. With the auction proceeds, he takes his chief deputies on vacations to Costa Rica.

He's chasing tamale vendors while murderers go free.
