Twisting MLK's Message of Peace

On Jan. 13, the Pentagon commemorated the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with an address by Jeh C. Johnson, the Defense Department’s general counsel, who insisted that today’s wars are not out of line with the iconic Nobel Peace Prize winner’s teachings.

One has to wonder whether the author has ever taken responsibility for the millions who died as a result of "communism’s triumph in Vietnam," when it led "to victories across Asia"? I wonder the thought that "Americans were [merely] fearful of communism then," or whether they understood the threat.

It appears that the author remains as ignorant of communism then as he is of terrorists today.
