By Danny Schechter

"Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with this picture?"

Yes,I can.

The far right don`t care that things are going from bad to worse. They should care as the people will come back on them really hard, soon. So why are they still going down the road that they are. They can see the dead end ahead. They must have something in store when things get completely out of control. The far right do plan ahead for themselves, thats why so many of them are multi-millionaires.

Can anyone else see where I am going here?.

Anyway, lets get back to the brainwashing (or should that read brainwashed) masses by the media...

"A talk given by Robin Ramsay to Labour Party branches in late 1996"

"The Clandestine Caucus"

"The important moves were made by Kinnock and Smith in whose teams Brown and Blair were minor players. Tony Blair is merely putting the gloss on; dumping the remnants of the ideological baggage, emasculating the membership and the unions, prior, I would guess, to instituting state funding of the political parties and the final transformation of the Labour Party into the reliable political face of the European Union, NATO, the global economy and the power of the moneylenders."...

I usually avoid guessing games so I'll explain directly where I think we are going and why.

The radical reich controls the media, the voting machines, the Supreme Court. It also has the "spiritual" support and, usually, the greater share of Wall Street's campaign money. They also play the county's vicious racism like a priceless violin.

The last two years appear to demonstrate that we have electoral two choices 1) "Republican heavy weight" and 2) "Republican cruiserweight."

The current Democratic congressional "majorities" actually harbor virtual Republicans in about a quarter of each the House and Senate caucuses. The vast majority of the remaining Democrats have spines of over-cooked spaghetti.

Obama has "shepherded" a list of insipid "headline" laws that 1) do nothing to improve the problems they address 2) maybe make said problems worse, 3) coddle corporate scum that should otherwise be prosecuted but 4) still put the reich, Wall St and the media in high snits.

The latest is his executive-ordered "Deficit Commission" that will most likely recommend the privatization (ie destruction) of Social Security. I'd be amazed if there weren't also a couple of totally Draconian "surprises."

On ALL the important issues of foreign affairs, government integrity/transparency and protection of basic liberties, he is as bad as, if not worse than, Cheney/Rove/Bush.

Obama was the ONLY possible answer to a general situation already well-defined, as above, before his election. But, for whatever reason(s), he has made "hope" just another four-letter word.

So we are going (actually, we'll soon be irreversibly locked into) exactly where "the reich" wants us: the slavery of the corporate feudal lords, hovering in economic squalor/terror and kept in line by the "national security" (i.e., police) state.

And, IF Obama decides to attack Iran, things are REALLY going to get nasty.

The point I have been trying to make to people is that ALL that is happening was planned out long ago. This is no mistake, it was planned.

The following is true, what makes it so sinister, is that you would never have thought at that time, the Conservative Party here in the UK would come out and say this. What they said was so out of character, even for them, at that time. I was at a loss and shocked, as I listen to it, at that time...

******

Back in the late 1990s/2000 while watching the Conservative party conference at Blackpool on television...I can only tell it as it happened...

Outside the conference hall two members of the Conservative party stood waiting to be interviewed (they were not MP`s but were high up`s in the party) they were asked... "What is the big talking point on the floor of this years conference"... the reply floored me this is what they said...

"It is clear that people don`t know how to use their vote.We left this country in the best economical state it has ever been in and now Labour will ruin it all. The big talking point on the floor is who should be allowed to vote should it be done on academic achievement or given to those who create the wealth or a combination of the two."...The other one concurred.

Please note it seems the decision to take the vote away from us had already been decided.

Given that nothing happens on the floor of Conservative party conference without being instgated from above should frighten anyone that cares about democracy. The video of this must still be available in the archives of the BBC/Sky.Why I wonder are the Conservative party getting their members ready for a fascist state. After watching the documentary of what nearly happened to Harold Wilson`s government it becomes even more frightening...

The Conservative Party, New Labour and the Lib Dems were working as one. There is no real difference between them. Just like in the USA. We are given the illusion of choice...There is NO choice.

I would like to add this...

It is breathtaking, the sheer scale off this operation. It involved the complicity of thousands of people. An intellectual press/media. It relied on the stupidity and greed of the masses (that was the easy part). The film "The sting" comes to mind. We are now were we are.

I swear to God, I just finished writing the above posts and went to check out the BBC news and came upon this (I swear to God).

As I wrote above...

"The Conservative Party, New Labour and the Lib Dems were working as one. There is no real difference between them. Just like in the USA. We are given the illusion of choice...There is NO choice."

******

"Mr Milburn would join other senior Labour figures who have agreed to offer their independent advice to the government."

"Former welfare minister Frank Field is devising an anti-poverty strategy, and former work and pensions secretary John Hutton is reviewing public sector pension provision."...

In regard to Anonymous's comment: "Its the same the world over, its why we are in such a mess..."

Indeed, Bush Sr., the former head of the party that alleges to exclusively despise "one world government" slipped it by his individual supporters, and the rest of us, when he introduced, instead, the "new world order."

By taking away the power of the working/middle class gave the far right the means to impose their will on the people. They done this by taking away the one thing the working/middle class had and had used to stop them in the past...The industrial base.

Globalisation was not just about making the few even richer, it totally destroyed the safeguard the working and middle class had over the far right. The far right learn from the past, and act to make sure it doesn`t happen to them again...

Do you REALLY think I'm disagreeing with you or do you simply need to have the last word?

It's not clear what I've said that implies that 1) the current situation was not planned or 2) globalization is only about making the few even richer.

I'll sum up and sign off this thread with a quote by Michael Parenti:
"There’s only one thing that the ruling circles throughout history have ever wanted, and that’s everything. There’s only one thing they want: all the wealth, the treasures, and the profitable returns, all the choice lands and forest and game and herds and harvests and mineral deposits and precious metals of the earth, all the productive facilities and gainful inventiveness and technologies, all the control positions of the state and other major institutions, all public supports and subsidies, privileges and immunities, all the protections of the law and none of its constraints, all the services and comforts and luxuries and advantages of civil society with none of the taxes and none of the costs. Every ruling class in history has wanted only this: all the rewards and none of the burdens. Their operational code is, We have a lot. We can get more. We want it all. And if you don’t know that, you’re in a sad place. If you know that and you don’t know anything else, you know more than if you know everything else and you don’t know that."

Hmmm, I don`t know what you are talking about?.

It was a case off (if anything) backing one another up. My posts are not aimed directly at you but informing others who come on here. Do you think you are that important?.
